You get it.  The Great Commission is GREAT!  Jesus is the answer for the world today.  People need to take the Gospel where there has never been access to the Gospel.
BUT .... that's not you.  You are quite sure that you are not one of those called servants.  So, now what should you be doing?  
You could start by asking God that question.  He will surely lead you to larger involvement in the Great Commission through being an avid Sender, or Mobilizer, or Partner in some form.  Your CROSS experience will not be wasted!  If it takes 9 support people behind every 1 on the front lines (in military terms), it surely takes that many to support, pray for, and enable a missionary to make it and thrive on the field.
What can you do, in practical terms, 

• to help someone get to the field?
  
• to get your church focused on reaching the unreached?
• to give your time to provide margin for preparation to a friend who is called to be that go-er?
• to pass on the biblical passion and drive to recruit others in the task?

Never let yourself think that your CROSS experience will not be used by God in some great way for Him.  If you look for opportunities to build on what you've learned and how your heart has been stirred, surely God will provide outlets of service for you that produce fruit for His kingdom expansion.  Keep growing in prayer, giving, serving, teaching, encouraging, loving for missions.  God will be honored by your obedience, even staying "at home".  You will be enriched beyond your imagination! 

You're registered.  You're getting excited.  You can hardly wait for the semester to be over (for a lot of reasons!).  What can you do to get ready for CROSS?

So, you're thinking, "This is great!  God is calling me to go out and reach some unreached people group with the Gospel.  I can't wait to tell everyone about my plans."

Wait a minute.  Think about what's going on.  You're going to get a lot of questions about this.  We don't want you to be discouraged by honest questions.  We want you to be prepared.

What questions should you expect from others?
Here's some samples, below.

From your parents:
   Are you kidding?  You did what?
   How does your college education play into this?
   What is the process?  How do you get to do that?
   How do you think you're going to get from HERE to THERE?

From your church:
   Have you been faithful and growing spiritually?
   What ministry experience do you have?
   What should be our role as a church to help?
   Are you willing to submit to training and affirmation of the church?
   How might your plans fit into our church's bigger vision and ministry?

From your friends:
   Awesome!  What does this mean?
   How do I fit in?
   How does this impact our relationship?
   Can I help?

What are your questions about how to get out to the mission field?  As you commit, your mind fills with all the unknowns.  Maybe you even see it as obstacles or barriers to your departure.  This is normal!  Of course you'll have questions!  Of course you'll have fogginess about something you've never done before.
